Description

As an R&D Production Assistant, you will assist the Director of Research and Development with assigned projects and everyday assistance with research and project management. Successful applicants are responsible, organized, self-motivated, confident, and willing to take initiative to improve current practices. The ideal candidate will take pride in the technological development and innovation process at OmniPrint International.


 Job Responsibilities

-Provide technical support (troubleshooting) for existing products

-Develop documentation and training materials for developed projects

-Organize and manage open development projects consistently

-Assist Director of Research and Development with day-to-day operations and existing projects

-Assemble and document testing of existing and new products

-Monitor and document testing and issues with existing and new products

-Communicate with manufacturing personnel for best manufacturing practices

-Create and manage bills of materials for existing and new products

-Assist in the creation, development, and planning of new products

-Offsite travel up to 5% may be required

-Other duties as assigned by the Director of Research and Development

Requirements

Job Requirements

-Basic knowledge of 3D printing.

-Basic knowledge of printing in general.

-Basic knowledge of soldering electronics.

-Basic knowledge of product assembly.

-Ability to creatively think outside of the box.

-Team-oriented Positive demeanor.

-HS Diploma or GED required.

-Undergraduate or Masters Engineering student a plus.

-Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, electrical or mechanical related experience.

-Strong mechanical & electrical aptitude.

-Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

-Strong communication and time management skills.

-Must be able to read and understand fabrication/assembly drawings.

-Must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and accuracy.

-Computers/Software Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel AutoCad and Solidworks experience preferred.
